~ Earthplace Preschool offers a unique brand of nature-based preschool in Westport, CT. The preschool uses Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (S.T.E.M.) concepts in all areas of our curriculum with an emphasis on nature. ~
Each day children learn through exploration, investigation and experimentation! The children construct their own learning using critical thinking skills, creativity, and innovation.
Our new program for infants and toddlers called The Nest at Earthplace promises the same high quality of care and innovation. Teachers are given extensive professional development experiences, and trainings. At Earthplace, we encourage and expect teachers to increase their knowledge and facilitate the learning of young children!
Position Overview
Two positions are currently available for Assistant Teacher, The Nest.
Schedule:
- 7:00 AM to 12:45 PM
- 12:15 PM to 6:00 PM
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Assistant Infant/Toddler Teacher - Entry-Level.
- ECE courses and/ or 2 years working with toddlers and/or preschoolers.
In addition, we are looking for:
- A passion and commitment to make a positive difference in the lives of young children and families.
- Hard-working, reliable and desire to learn.
- Working knowledge of CT Statutes and Regulations, NAEYC criteria, and the CT ELDS.
- Positive Attitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent Communication Skills.
- Computer Literacy.
