Position Overview

The goals of this job is to help establish, maintain, and provide a positive relationship with Sun Solar's customers. This requires working with various departments within Sun Solar and understanding the time sequence from the initial contact of a perspective customer to the final service provided to the customer. This includes ensuring the quality of customer information is correct.

Responsibilities

  • Creatively develop self-generated leads (SGLs)
  • Attend required weekly and monthly sales meetings
  • Proficient networking within your community
  • Perform to meet or exceed company close ratio and sales standards for B2B
  • Travel to client’s place of business to review solar information, kW needs and financing options and requirements
  • Learn customer’s business growth plans, capital needs, workforce dynamics, mergers/acquisitions/dispositions, energy usage, and sustainability positions
  • Develop insights about the customer needs and opportunities in conjunction with the strategic marketer and broader team
  • Identify and equip individual champions at all levels within customer organizations to take actions that move our projects forward
  • Review with customer the location of solar panels; look for potential challenges
  • Enter customer information into CRM software taking care to make sure contact information is correct

Qualifications

  • Proficient computer skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Office suite
  • Experience in the renewable energy industry
  • Personal networking skills
  • Experience in structured problem-solving for complex business challenges
  • Proven positive and professional attitude, and team collaboration skills
  • Smart phone
  • Travel 80% of time
  • Sitting for extended periods of time
  • Current car insurance
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Clean driving record
