Position Overview

The Associate/Full Professor, Division Chair position in Biological and Environmental Sciences is responsible for supervising the operations of the department; teaching undergraduate and graduate lecture and lab courses in the biomedical sciences, such as microbiology, cell biology, molecular biology, and human anatomy and physiology; and maintaining an active research program. This position will have a reduced teaching load because of administrative duties.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in biomedical sciences
• Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work collegially and productively
• Ability to teach introductory and per-level undergraduate and graduate courses in cell biology, molecular biology, and/or immunology
• Demonstrated administrative experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong teaching background
• Postdoctoral and/or related work experience in the private or public sectors
• Record of publications in peer-reviewed literature
• Ability to conduct and publish research at a mixed teaching-research institution
• Commitment to recruit and include graduate and undergraduate students in research
• Demonstrated administrative experience
