Position Overview:
We’re adding a new role to our team here: Sustainability Engineer! What exactly does this position entail, you ask? Well, in addition to the standard battery of magic tricks and superhuman feats that we expect of all our teammates, this position will have primary be supporting and advancing the sustainability initiatives of the organization. Collaborating closely with designated supervisor, the intern will assist in the implementation of sustainable practices, energy efficiency projects, obtaining green certifications, analysis of procedures, field tests, and assisting in the performance of an audit, and waste reduction initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Gain the scope of what Case does and our place in the supply chain.
- Map out the major areas that impact our business and align with sustainability focus areas.
- Map out the individuals at Case that affect or own the information needed to address RFI’s.
- Begin to identify potential initiatives that can improve our sustainability platform. IE- areas we can address and rank them in importance and/or our ability to address with current resources.
- Flow chart the process that should occur when we receive an RFI.
Lastly, some other job details: You’ll need to be eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship to throw you hat into the ring for this one. This job is located in Philadelphia. While we’re open to all candidates, we’re not offering any relocation benefits at this time (sad face). Requirements:
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work with data.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities
- Knowledge of or experience with supply chain concepts and principles is a plus.
Do you have what it takes?
You’ll impress us if you have enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field. OR- if you have commensurate work experience in related discipline(s) and/or relevant certifications. Your background should provide you the tools and ideas you need to be successful in a highly analytical and detail-oriented role. While this is a high-level contributor position, we value the hard work, experience, curiosity, and best practices you can bring from other positions and workplaces, with or without the formal education.
