One Block Off the Grid is a fast-growing, funded startup located in the hip, dynamic South Park district of San Francisco. Our mission is to dramatically accelerate the national adoption of solar energy among homeowners by helping them understand its powerful financial and environmental benefits. Since 2008 we've helped thousands of homeowners go solar in more than ten different states through our community-based group purchasing programs and have been covered extensively by the national media including The New York Times, Wired, Huffington Post, and USA Today. Position Overview:

One Block Off the Grid is seeking motivated, experienced sales/call center reps to present and sell our company's products and services. These representatives will guide interested homeowners through the process of going solar by presenting the highlights of our solar deals, answering solar questions, and building a relationship with the customer throughout the solar sales cycle. Solar expertise is not a hard and fast prerequisite for the position. Strong sales and communication skills are the most essential skills for the job; were willing to train up the right candidate on the solar side of things.

Please note: This role does not entail out-bound cold calling. You will be speaking with people who have already expressed an interest in getting solar energy for their home.

Responsibilities:

Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Present and sell 1BOGs products/services to existing and prospective customers
  • Educate and excite homeowners about going solar
  • Follow up quickly and thoroughly on leads and referrals
  • Identify and resolve customer concerns
  • Participate in calls, conference calls, and webinars
