Senior Electrical Engineer, Wind Energy

Position Overview

Earthstream have just signed up to partner with a really fascinating client; an international renewable energy consultancy that have received international recognition for their work supporting clients to develop & operate wind energy projects all over the world.

The company employs just over 100 people across 10 global offices and the team is comprised of highly experienced specialists with unrivalled practical knowledge from a wide range of offshore and onshore projects. With a fantastic track record internationally, they are now looking to add experienced hires to their business here in the USA (currently 9 people on the ground here in the States)

This is a fantastic opportunity for highly talented Wind Energy professionals who are motivated by the opportunity to join a very flat environment and work on an assortment of technical challenges across North America. These first hires for the group are crucial to the teams initial success and we need to find individuals who share the company's core values of commitment, dedication, respect, credibility, modesty and honesty.

The first search we will be managing for the business will be for a Senior Electrical Engineer who will be responsible for supporting multiple projects in a broad range of electrical engineering & construction concepts. Responsibilities

Brief Overview:

• Conduct detailed technical review, independent assessment, and development of electrical engineering and construction documentation, including plans and specifications, reports, construction submittals, test documentation, and construction job books and QA/QC documentation
• Conduct on-site construction monitoring to assess compliance with plans and specifications, good construction practice, and adherence to QA/QC programs
• Lead or participate in meetings and conference calls with lenders, investors, developers, contractors, and engineers regarding technical documentation and construction issues
• Prepare detailed reports of design reviews, project documentation assessments, and construction monitoring
• Assist in development of a US/Canada/Mexico customer base and represent company in North America
• Enhance customer satisfaction and sustainable financial improvements
• Ensure compliance of designs with applicable international, national and local codes and standards
• Strong technical leadership skills – ability to meet deadlines and provide high quality service to client

Qualifications

Key Requirements:

• You have a Bachelor of Science, Electrical Engineering
• You are a Registered Professional Engineer
• 5 plus years experience in Wind Energy - this is crucial, we're very unlikely to look at anyone with less
• You have negotiation and contracting experience from wind power industry
• You have wind project site experience with sound knowledge of electrical engineering
