At Montana Conservation Corps, the MCC crews camp while working on physically demanding and essential natural resource and conservation projects on some of the most breathtaking landscapes in the Northern Rockies and Plains.

Position Overview

The Senior Crew Leader helps guide our crew leaders through their technical skills and leadership training, and is an excellent stepping stone into a staff conservation corps or federal agency position.  The Senior Crew Leader will assist in the training of Field Crew Leaders, visit crews during the field season to help ensure the successful completion of MCC projects and programming, may be called upon to lead an existing crew when necessary, and provide logistical support to ensure regional operations run smoothly.

This position can have professional development opportunities depending on the candidate’s goals (project partner interaction and project management, community engagement and volunteer event coordination, advanced chainsaw and tool maintenance, and more).  Our Senior Crew Leaders are an essential component of our regional teams, and provide mentorship to our leaders and members.  If you are looking for something unique and want to make a positive impact on the environment, then this is the perfect opportunity for you!
