Description

The Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board (OWEB), an agency of the State of Oregon, has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for due diligence services to support its programs that make grants for the purchase of property interests.

OWEB has offered land acquisition grants since 1999. To date, OWEB has awarded approximately $54 million to protect approximately 86,000 acres of land throughout the state. OWEB’s goal is to find long-term contractors that can work closely with OWEB staff to evaluate grant applications and conduct due diligence, find acceptable solutions to due diligence challenges and other real property-related issues, and prepare transaction documents such as conservation easements.

An OWEB due diligence contractor does not have to be located or based in the state of Oregon, but they must be familiar with the laws and rules surrounding Oregon land acquisition by the time their contract goes into effect. OWEB does not anticipate that travel will be part of the due diligence work.
