Description

One of the earliest schools of its kind in the country, the Falk School of Sustainability & Environment at Chatham University is a wellspring for leadership and education to overcome current and future sustainability challenges.

The Falk School is inspired by the work of Chatham alumna Rachel Carson '29, whose knowledge about the environment and passion to preserve it are traits that drive the mission of the school. The academic programs in the Falk School are dedicated to producing professional sustainability leaders.

Position Overview

The Falk School has an immediate opening for a Director of Strategy and Partnerships. As a staff member of the Falk School, the Director of Strategy & Partnerships (“Director”) will report to the Dean and coordinate internal and external collaboration for the School and lead the implementation of high priority partnership projects. In collaboration with the Dean, FSSE academic programs and other University stakeholders, the Director will serve as the focal point for fostering and coordinating a diverse set of partnerships between the Falk School and higher education, community and private sector partners. These partnerships will focus on delivering student experiential learning and achieving real-world impact on climate justice and sustainability goals.

This newly created position will add to Chatham’s mission “to prepare students to build lives of purpose, value and fulfilling work…by preparing graduates to be informed and engaged citizens in their communities; to recognize and respect diversity of culture, identity, and opinion; and to live sustainably.” Building on this mission, Chatham is committed to creating a supportive and inclusive learning, living and working environment for all members of the campus community.
