Position Overview
Well respected nationwide engineering / environmental / accessibility / green energy consulting firm seeks highly motivated full-time architect to join our commercial real estate due diligence team. The selected candidate will gain experience related to building systems, conditions and maintenance, and will support senior staff in preparing property condition reports.
Responsibilities
This position initially consists of the following with associated field work:
- Preparation of Property Condition Assessment reports
- Preparation of Energy and Water Audit reports
- Preparation of Accessibility Audit reports
- Preparation of Plan and Cost Review reports
After accumulating sufficient experience, the position will additionally include:
- Full property inspection for Property Condition and Phase I Environmental reports
Note: This position will be based in the Los Angeles area, and requires local and domestic air travel and ability to work from a remote home office. This is an entry level position with excellent long term professional growth potential. Come join us!
Qualifications
Successful candidates must have the following credentials or experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture
- Experience with multifamily properties
- Knowledge of building components and systems
- Ability to physically navigate sites, including using ladder to access roofs
- Ability to travel on short notice and complete assignments on time
- Willingness to travel (generally 60% domestic travel)
- Competency with Microsoft Office and Adobe products
- Written and oral communication skills
- Valid Driver’s license required; vehicle required for local travel
