~ The Southern Conservation Trust protects greenspace, conserves forests, safeguards river, protects wildlife, provides environmental education, and ensures that our children have access to nature in our own communities. ~

Based in Fayette County, Georgia, the Southern Conservation Trust works through the state of Georgia and as of the end of 2016 is protecting over 6,000 acres with six public nature areas and dozens of conservation easements.

Position Overview

Are you interested in what the Southern Conservation Trust does and want to learn more about it? Consider becoming an SCT intern.

We offer internships for credit and non-credit in a variety of areas. Interns looking to complete their internship for credit must commit to at least one semester (or 5 months). Internships for non-credit can vary in length. All interns will be asked to complete a project in their focus area. Projects can range from park maintenance (boardwalk or trail construction) to hosting an art exhibit to writing a research paper. Project requirements will be discussed on an individual basis with chosen interns.
