Position Overview

Navarro Research and Engineering, Inc. is recruiting for a FUSRAP Environmental Scientist in Westminster, CO; Weldon Spring, MO; Morgantown, WV; or Grand Junction, CO.

Responsibilities

  • Will serve as site lead for selected Active Sites.
  • As site lead, will be responsible to coordinate contractor functional support where needed.
  • Will provide technical support as required for review of FUSRAP documents, data, GIS information; FUSRAP site transition planning and implementation of long-term stewardship. Support FUSRAP eligibility determination work.

Qualifications

Education:

  • BA/BS in Environmental Science or Related Field.

Years of experience:

  • >5

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience with planning, implementation and analysis of radiological or chemical characterization, remediation, Final Status Surveys, groundwater monitoring/treatment, or radiological or chemical risk assessments.
  • Understanding of environmental regulations, particularly related to Superfund, CERCLA, or MARSSIM radiological cleanup.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearances requirements, US citizenship is required.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with U.S. Army Corps of Engineer FUSRAP remediation activities, ideally, the candidate will have experience writing and implementing technical plans and leading field teams in the performance of radiations surveys and environmental sampling (soil and/or water).
