Position Overview

RC Cubed is an energy finance and development firm, currently focused on solar, that is active across the nation and seeking a full time Project Manager. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate high professional standards, a strong interest in renewable energy and work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage mid-size to large (150kW to 10MW) commercial solar projects in public and private sector.
  • Own specific projects from birth to finish with P&L responsibility for owned projects.
  • Lead project teams in implementing commercial solar electric systems.
  • Build, manage, and communicate project schedules to stakeholders.
  • Evaluate project resource needs ensuring supply of materials and labor.
  • Develop and Execute project risk management plans.
  • Manage engineering and construction management resources assigned to specific projects.
  • Ensure that projects are completed on time, on budget; safely and fully meet customer expectations.
  • Travel regularly and as needed to ensure successful project execution. Percentage of travel is dependent on project needs and location.
  • Thorough knowledge of company policies, procedures and standards of conduct.

Qualifications

  • Reside in New Mexico but be able to travel extensively.
  • Have 3 to 5 years in the Solar industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field.
  • Must be comfortable with the use of technology.

General Requirements & Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field.
  • 5 years of experience managing specialty construction projects in both public and private sectors.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to interpret and proceed according to construction contracts.
  • Strong organizational and customer service skills.
  • Good judgment and analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete a variety of simultaneous tasks with a high level of organization.
  • Communicate information effectively, both orally and in writing both internally and externally.
  • Possess strong work & business ethics.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Experience with financial valuation and/or budgeting.
  • Outstanding skill with Excel, Word, PDF Editing, etc.
  • Valid state Driver’s license.
  • Must have clean background check and drug test.

Character Traits:

  • Initiative - The ability to prioritize and execute tasks as well as manage time well without constant oversight or motivation.
  • Attention to detail - you will be participating in important data management, along with outbound communication.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams - each task will fall somewhere on the spectrum of independent to teamwork. Being comfortable with this range is important to carrying out the dynamic work this position entails.

Compensation

  • Base Salary of $60,000 to $80,000 per year.
  • Paid vacation and sick days.
  • Contribution of up to $250 per month or 50% percent for health coverage.
