Position Overview
As a renewable energy consultant for Iowa Wind and Solar you will be responsible for spreading the word about the benefits of solar energy to businesses, farms, schools, homeowners, and anyone with an electric bill they’d like to eliminate. Iowa Wind and Solar will generate leads for you, as well as help you cultivate existing relationships, and generate your own leads based on specific industries. As a R.E. consultant, you’ll work alongside our operations & engineering team to gather information from a client’s site, craft the perfect solar proposal for your client, and then finally present the proposal along with financing options.

Responsibilities
The following the expectations and common things you’ll be working on as a member of our team:
- Communication with potential leads via email, phone, text, and on-site visits.
- On-site assessment of location to prepare preliminary assessment and quote.
- Answering customer’s questions related to:How solar works to generate savingsCost of SolarFinancing OptionsCash Flow of SolarTax BenefitsGrants Available (for select situations)Procurement & Installation.
- Updating our CRM system (Base).
- Adding photos and relevant documentation through our CRM (Base).
- Communicating with our operations team via Base, Google Hangouts, and Email.
