Position Summary:

- Establish an internationally recognized program of externally funded research and scholarly activity, including support for graduate students and mentoring of undergraduate students.
- Teach an undergraduate course in fish conservation (FW 400) and other undergraduate or graduate course(s) based on Departmental needs and area of expertise.
Service and Outreach:
- Participate in professional and university service and outreach activities.
Required Job Qualifications:
- An earned Ph.D. in Freshwater Science, Biology, Ecology, Fish and Wildlife Biology, Conservation Biology or a related field by time of appointment
- Demonstrated ability to develop a strong externally-funded research program
- Research focus in stream fish ecology, conservation, and management
- Must be eligible to work in the United States by the proposed start date. CSU will not provide visa sponsorship for this position.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
- Record of scholarly publication
- Demonstrated excellence and interest in University teaching and student mentoring
- Ability to communicate scientific knowledge and collaborate with practitioners, managers, policy makers, and the public
- Experience working collaboratively and across disciplines and agencies including state and federal agencies, and non-government organizations
