Position Overview

The Field Sales Manager (FSM) is responsible for managing and leading teams of 14-28 Energy Advisors and 2-4 Team Leaders within a door-to-door sales office. They are responsible for ensuring teams and Energy Advisors are achieving sales and performance goals.

Responsibilities

  • This individual is accountable for the development and performance management of Team Leaders and Energy Advisors on their team. 
  • FSMs must provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to their team to ensure they have the skills required to be successful.
  • Effective coaching and development of Energy Advisors is critical to individual success as well as the success of our overall business.
  • FSMs work with their manager, the Territory Sales Manager, to develop routing plans and ensure teams have the tools required to sell effectively. 
  • A successful candidate must develop a high performing sales team and help create an environment that fosters career growth and keeps individuals engaged.
  • Field Sales Managers must drive team sales, be performance driven and be dedicated to achieving goals.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Experience:

  • Minimum of six months of direct sales (door to door) experience

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Demonstrated success in leading and managing small teams and their performance is preferred
  • Ability to motivate sales employees and cultivate an environment of high performance in accordance with company values and expectations
  • Demonstrated success in a field sales environment with a team of Energy Advisors

Other:

  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the country where the position resides
  • Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable drivers record, subject to review
