Building on more than a decade of research, teaching, and engaging with business, we educate and provoke thoughtful debate. The Center encourages sustainability-minded research and its application in the marketplace of commerce and ideas.

We use the words "sustainable" and "sustainability" in the broadest sense to include social, environmental, and economic considerations. This allows us to explore a wide array of issues, while retaining the flexibility to focus resources and attention for maximum impact. Our current focus areas are sustainable finance and investment, human rights and business, sustainable supply chains, and sustainable food.

Position Overview

Berkeley-Haas Center for Responsible Business (CRB) is hiring a Program Manager. The role oversees and administers fundraising events and other major events (including speaker series and competitions) and marketing, communications, & social media for the CRB. Anticipated start date is February 2018.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate has experience executing successful fundraisers and high profile events from inception to completion (incl. logistical details and post-event metrics), marketing & communications and social media campaigns, and website maintenance; and demonstrates the following:

  • Strong ability to work independently and in a team;
  • Comfort with ambiguity;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Results-oriented;
  • Positive “can do” spirit;
  • An understanding and appreciation for achieving success in a resource constrained environment (eg. university, nonprofit); and
  • Interests in sustainability and corporate social responsibility.
