Position Overview
Primus Wind Power is currently seeking a Tech Support Technician. The primary function of this position will be to provide technical support over the phone and the internet to customers and dealers.
Responsibilities
Tech Support/Customer Care Will Be Responsible For:
- Respond to Customer, Dealer and Distributors questions and technical issues regarding the repair, warranty service and out of warranty work on the AIR turbine. Technical support background is a must.
- Interface with ASD partners (Authorized Service Distributors) across the World to provide warranty and non-warranty work on the AIR units.
- Be knowledgeable on product differences to explain best turbine choice for customer.
- May include some travel for training or Solar/Wind Trade shows and demo booths of the AIR equipment as needed.
- Ensure post-sale customer satisfaction by responding to all technical questions, warranty claims or customer care requests.
- Using PWP tools, provide knowledgeable response to customers on determination of their wind resource at their site.
- Work in manufacturing to build and/or service turbines in order to gain and retain an understanding of the product.
- Be knowledgeable on solar installations, batteries and the electrical components that are incorporated into an off grid system. Knowledge of Solar and off grid is a must.
- Promptly and kindly answer and respond to all telephone and e-mail inquiries.
- Ensure sales orders/warranty claims are confirmed with customers and are executed to best-in-class standards.
- Communicate customer feedback and requests to management for consideration.
- Communicate and coordinate with operational personnel (i.e. - Account Manager, Purchasing, Shipping, Accounting, etc.) to meet customer requests.
- Respond to internal inquiries regarding product support.
- Support operational processes and manufacturing problems as needed.
- Support product development efforts as needed.
- Assist in other duties as needed and assigned by upper management.
Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in Electrical/ Solar/ Wind Tech Support position.
- Experience in solar and battery experience is key.
- Customer care experience is also necessary. Renewable Energy (Solar/Wind) Certification a plus.
- Global Shop Solutions (GSS) ERP system experience a plus.
