Position Overview
Seventhwave is seeking a Project Manager with background in commercial building design concepts. Specific responsibilities will include reviewing building design documents to identify energy efficiency opportunities; performing energy efficiency calculations to estimate savings and incentives; communicating with program participants to request information, discuss efficiency opportunities and present energy analysis results. This position can be located in either our Madison or Chicago office. If based in Madison, occasional travel to the Chicago area will be required.
Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of utility-funded programs that offer technical assistance and financial incentives to promote the design and construction of high performance commercial buildings.
- Perform energy efficiency calculations through the use of spreadsheets and simplified building energy analysis software.
- Communicate with program participants (owners and design firms) to promote energy efficient design strategies for their new construction projects.
- Present information about the program at outreach events, including lunch and learn presentations, industry conferences, and trade ally workshops.
- Verify that completed buildings have installed the incentivized energy efficiency measures.
- Monitor progress of work against project schedules and ensure deadlines are met.
Qualifications
- A BA or BS degree.
- Minimum 1 - 2 years relevant professional experience:
- Experience with architectural and engineer drawings for new construction and renovation projects is required.
- Experience with utility energy efficiency programs a plus.
- Ability to work independently, problem-solve and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to analyze, manipulate, and present data effectively in reports, presentations and informal communications.
- Effective verbal and written communications skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate with others Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.

Compensation: Commensurate with experience.
