Position Overview

Vivint Solar is seeking an Operations Manager in and around the Philadelphia, PA area. We are looking for problem solvers, self-motivators and action oriented thinkers. We are changing the way the world produces power and are looking for an Operations Manager that is ready to jump in and help our fast growing business grow even faster.

The incumbent oversees daily management, control, and supervision of the office/operation while delivering operational and financial results.  

Responsibilities

  • Set the agenda and direction for the operation by communicating the business purpose, objectives, initiatives, policies, and procedures. Encourage open dialogue. Relay field input to executive management.
  • Balance competing & conflicting requirements consistent with Company values & business principles.
  • Maintain an accurate and full account of all daily operations including safety, production, downtime, and any incidents.
  • Achieve operational plans that deliver expected results for safety, talent development, revenue, cost, asset maintenance, and margins.
  • Inspect job sites of each installation crew and correct as needed.
  • Coach and develop crews on jobs sites to ensure quality and improve techniques.
  • Communicate and coordinate with the District Sales Manager on a regular basis.
  • Monitor the progress of all accounts associated with their office.
  • Resolve customer complaints or concerns involving the installation process.
  • Coordinate with corporate departments on a daily basis. 

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Must know how to handle problems quickly and efficiently.
  • Must be very organized and have great communication skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate required computer skills (i.e. MS Excel/Word/Outlook, web browsing, etc.).

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or similar degree; experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
  • Significant Electrician experience preferred.
  • 4+ years construction experience and management experience preferred.
  • Experience with project management and construction experience required.
  • Solar Industry a plus.
