The CPF team is made up of industry experts with years of experience in renewable energy, consumer finance, and consumer online services. Our online business-to-business marketplace connects the solar industry with capital markets and provides residential solar professionals with access to solar financing and software that empowers them to close more deals faster.

Position Overview 

The Senior Product Manager, Financial Products will lead the next phase of growth and expansion in our finance product innovation and management, core functionality to Clean Power Finance's success. CPF is seeking a product leader who can create, launch and improve financial products and services offered across our marketplace. 

Responsibilities 

We work as a collaborative team with the shared goal of delivering winning products and solutions for our channel, our channel's customers, and our fund investors. 

  • Innovate new financial product solutions based on market and customer research, cross-team collaboration, analysis and forecasting future demand
  • Track and analyze existing financial products and services, and define and launch improvements, moving key volume and velocity business metrics
  • Establish best practices, ideas, innovations, and capabilities to drive adoption of CPF finance products and services
  • Collaborate with the business, user experience and engineering teams during product discovery to assess value, usability and feasibility of product features
  • Support sales and marketing activities as necessary by preparing materials, reports, and training aids, as well as leading training on new products, financial concepts, and legal agreements
  • Analyze economics of state and local incentive programs as well as local tax and regulatory issues and recommend new market opportunities and underwriting criteria
  • Interface and coordinate with our Capital Markets, Sales, Marketing, Financial Operations, Legal and Finance teams for ongoing asset and fund management responsibilities, as well as new product creation
  • Develop and assist in developing a variety of business analysis, pricing, and forecasting tools for use internally and externally 

Qualifications 

General Knowledge & Skills: 

  • Proven success with the definition, creation, launch and successful management of consumer financial products
  • Demonstrated ability to research and analyze companies, market, industry and technology trends
  • Strong knowledge of financial modeling (i.e. creating and analyzing cash flow and pricing models, valuation)
  • Experience successfully negotiating high impact business dealing and working well with external counterparties
  • Familiarity/Experience with the US solar renewable energy policy and market, as well as tax equity debt product structures
  • Strong knowledge of finance and core knowledge of accounting principles
  • Experience in energy, solar energy, finance, consulting, business development, strategy, product/project management, or government relations
  • Knowledge of residential and commercial solar incentives, rebates, and tax treatment strongly desired 

Technical Skills: 

  • Experience writing clear, thorough and visual specifications for complex features and products
  • Successful at leading cross functional teams
  • Expert with MS Excel including Visual Basic, and highly skilled with other MS Office products including PowerPoint, and Word

Education: 

  • A BA/BS degree in business, finance, economics, or engineering
  • An M.B.A. or equivalent preferred
