Operations Manager

~ GreenTrust Alliance is dedicated to perpetuating conservation uses for its land holdings. ~

We utilize the sale of ecological credits to generate revenue for continued land acquisitions and conservation activities. The ultimate goal is to protect and restore degraded land and maximize environmental sustainability.

GreenTrust Alliance has also developed an expertise in green infrastructure planning as a community based approach focused on the integration of functioning ecosystem components with the built environment.

Ecosystem service providers purchase lands that may not be productive for farming or conventional development, and they do so at market rates. In all cases, the lands have the ability to be augmented ecologically to help restore a system of wetlands, streams, forested areas or habitat. The creation, restoration, preservation and credit of sales activities associated with this "environmental lift" are most often facilitated by the ecosystem service provider.  

Position Overview

GreenTrust Alliance, Inc. a nonprofit entity engaged in environmental policy, eco system restoration and project implementation has an immediate need for full-time Operations Manager. 

Responsibilities 

This individual will: 

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the organization;
• Develop and oversee strategic alliances with vendors;
• Help coordinate and support implementation of key company operations; 
• Provide leadership for the organization's growth and development in achieving its mission; and
• This person will also act as the official spokesperson for the organization. 

Qualifications  

Key skills and requirements include: 

• A college degree with practical experience in the environmental field;
• Excellent computer, good social networking and marketing capabilities are a must;
• We're seeking someone who is an effective communicator;
• Has good writing skills;
• The ability to provide thorough research; and
• Someone who takes initiative and gets things done will find great satisfaction in this position.
