Position Overview:
Calhoun Community College is seeking a part-time Renewable Energy Lab Assistant to assist Instructors and students in instructional laboratories. The position is temporary and offers flexible work hours, up to 19 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Assist students with assigned Renewable Energy/ADM lab exercises
- Assist students with class, lab and home assignments
- Prepare and repair equipment as needed for lab assignments
- Help write and revise lab instructions as needed
- Keep lab areas clean and free of debris
- Assist in development of classroom and lab examples as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in the Renewable Energy, HVAC, Mechanical, or related field
- Effective oral and written communications
- Knowledge of electrical and plant safety precautions
- Proficiency in all phases of Renewable Energy Technology and HVAC
- Willingness to work directly with students in a lab setting
