Job Summary:
ClearBridge Investments is seeking a Research Associate for its long-standing (through its predecessor firms since 1987) Environmental, Social, and Governance [ESG] Investment Program.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
- Expansive cross-sector coverage research on Environmental, Social, and Governance issues for multiple ESG equity strategies
- Coordinate company engagement meetings with sector analysts and PMs
- Communication with companies and financial advisors on a regular basis
- Marketing and liaising with different firm departments (e.g., Compliance, Analysts, Portfolio Managers, Administration, Sales, etc.)
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years experience
- College degree
- Masters degree a plus
- Series 7, 63, 65 or 66 a plus
- Excellent writing skills
- Sincere interest in Sustainability issues and company analysis
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Overall good communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
- Discipline to follow-through on projects
- Willingness to travel occasionally
- Detail oriented
