Growing, vibrant non-profit, Sustain Foundation, is seeking a part-time "Operations Director" (OD) for a 1 year commitment to begin immediately.
The mission of Sustain Foundation is to create & implement sustainable solutions to health, educational & environmental needs through local & global community partnerships. Individuals with a passion for community-based participatory programs to sustain well-being, demonstrated success in operations, management, strong communication skills, with fund development experience (director of development) and an earnest interest in the unique mission and core principles of our organization should apply.
Position Overview:
The organization's Operations Director will work as liaison within Sustain Foundation, between the Board of Directors & the organization's programs directors and volunteers to achieve strategic objectives in alignment with our unique mission. As management of operations key responsibilities include: accounting & finances, community relations: public awareness, marketing, cultivating collaborations; supervision of our myriad community-based participatory programs; directing development, namely revenue generating (fundraising, grant writing); resource management from knowledge & materials to HR.
Responsibilities:
The operations director will be responsible for the following functional areas, including but not limited to:
- Oversee day-to-day internal operations of the organization including e-mails, contacts, finances, & legal compliance
- Oversee all public relations including social media, newsletters, & website
- Support program directors with program development, implementation, & strategic planning
- Seek partnership opportunities
- Research & apply for grants
- Prepare & implement fundraising plan
- Act as principle liaison between board & program directors
- Hire & oversee interns & volunteers as needed
- Collaborate with board members & program directors in strategic organizational planning

Applicants with demonstrated success in operations, fund development, & leadership and an earnest interest in the unique mission and core principles of our organization should apply. It is an ideal position for individuals with experience or interest in: local, public and nonprofit organizations, operations and management, education, public health, anthropology, international relations, project management, business, social work, and public policy.
Sustain Foundation is looking to fill the position as soon as possible; applications are being reviewed on a rolling basis. An integral role to our non-profit, applicants able to commit for 1 year and to a minimum of 10-15 hours per week will be considered. A stipend is awarded in the amount of $3,600.00 for the one year position (with potential for additional funding allocated fairly as directly related to fund generating projects)
