Position Overview:
As we move into more story telling, engaging content, and building brand/company affinity, our needs for front-end designers are evolving. Along with traditional & digital design, UI/UX and an understanding of technology, we are in need of expanding our toolbox to allow us to further engage the user and ease the transition from concept to final development.
Qualifications:
To help us keep up with our rapid growth, we are looking for designers with diverse skillsets that meet the following criteria:
- A mind that can think temporally, tell a story, and execute the web team's vision using whatever tool is required.
- Must be skilled at front-end design for websites, user interface designs, emails, social media, animations, video, presentations and the occasional interactive demo.
- Very strong Adobe Creative Suite (CS5, Master Collection), HTML, CSS3, javascript skills are a must as well as a strong background in sketching layouts and concepts quickly by hand. Actionscript 3 knowledge is a plus.
- Knowledge of motion graphics, video, 3D, compression, and Internet media delivery.
- Knowledge of javascript frameworks such as jQuery or Prototype.
- Sharp conceptual skills are non-negotiable.
- A strong user experience knowledge (Ability to work with sitemaps, user flows, wireframes and other information design documents).
- Sharp organizational skills & ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
