Energy Compression Inc. is a clean-tech startup company in the greater Boston area, which is bringing a new kind of energy storage to the marketplace. We call it Adsorption-Enhanced Compressed Air Energy Storage (or AE-CAES for short). AE-CAES is not only very different from electrochemical batteries and capacitors, but is also quite distinct from conventional implementations of compressed air energy storage (CAES).
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of a novel thermal and mechanical energy storage system.
- Design, model, construct a fixed bed gas-phase reactors and/or gas separation by adsorption.
- Structure analysis and component design
- Solid modeling, CAD design
- Product costing
- Interface with Clients for application specific design
Qualifications:
Ideal candidate has experience with heat pump design, simulation and prototyping. General knowledge of or a background in chemical engineering, particularly in absorption or adsorption refrigeration or mechanical engineering and with the Aspen Technologies software suite, would be highly beneficial. Experience in CAD tools, like Solidwork and Ansys, desirable. Previous experience in a clean tech start-up would also be a plus.
