Responsibilities:

Duties include working closely with a project team, reporting to management, interacting with regulatory agencies, issue spotting, strategy development and supervising outside counsel.  This is a 40 hours/week project working onsite in San Francisco, with monthly travel to Southern California and/or Nevada. 

Qualifications:

To join Paragon's Environmental Law Team for this project, the ideal attorney will have the following:

  • 5+ years of experience all areas of environmental law (RCRA, CERCLA CEQA, etc.);
  • Exceptional academic credentials;
  • California bar admission;
  • Experience with litigation and/or claims involving toxic tort and groundwater contamination desirable;
  • Experience working with Native American tribes on environmental issues desirable;
  • Familiarity with the California Regional Water Quality Control Boards and their staff and environmental regulations;
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a team environment; and
  • Facility with technical data required.
