A leader in energy efficiency, RHA, Inc.'s work involves the design, implementation and administration of small- and large-scale energy efficiency programs throughout the state of California from the Oregon border to the Mexican border and into Nevada to federal, state, private and public utility customers reaching both commercial and residential end users.
A California-based firm, RHA manages all aspects of energy efficiency including energy audits, home and business weatherization, customer energy education, energy training, refrigerator replacement and recycling, and furnace repair and replacement as well as direct installation of energy efficient measures.
Position Overview:
RHA, Inc. is looking for a multi-talented and seasoned leader with a passion for energy efficiency to manage a program that helps low-income San Diego residents take advantage of a free utility service. This is a critical role requiring a triple skill set: excellent client relationship management, creative social marketing and operative knowledge of energy efficiency technologies and measures. World class program management skills, plus a strategic vision for community outreach and social good, will drive our goal of dramatically increasing the number of low income people we engage to save energy. You'll advance a sustainable national energy policy by making a huge impact locally.
The program is a state-funded energy efficiency incentive program carried out through local utilities and administered by RHA. RHA seeks to increase the number of low-income participants receiving free weatherization, natural gas appliance retrofits and other efficiency measures through the program. RHA oversees outreach strategy, designs a quality customer experience for participants and ensures the quality and safety of contracted technical services.
Responsibilities:
Ideal Program Manager will:
- Communicate with the client and community partners in a thoughtful and impactful manner that helps foster strong relationships
- Demonstrate appropriate level of tenacity in making sure project tasks get completed on schedule, resolving issues and building internal relationships to help move projects forward
- Stay abreast of trends in environmental sustainability and community based social marketing
- Constantly seek ways to enhance the customer experience, increase program efficiencies and improve re-sponse rates
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- BA in Business /Marketing Management or Production Management or in an energy efficiency related field
- Several years leadership experience in energy efficiency environment
- 5 years work experience managing large-scale programs or projects, leading cross functional teams and supervising staff
- Success in getting people to learn about, try out and get more engaged in a product or service (background in efficiency program marketing, consumer research, brand management, community marketing and political campaigns a plus)
- Excellent data management and tacking skills, applied toward improving acquisition and engagement tactics
- Ability to connect with a wide range of people
- Sales and/or marketing experience a plus
- Experience in environmental sustainability and community based social marketing
