Sales Associate Green Business Program

Position Overview:

Urban Solutions is looking for a self-motivated and detail-oriented Sales Associate who will assist in growing Urban Solutions' Green Business Program.

This part-time employee will report to the Urban Solutions Green Business Program Manager. The Sales Associate is responsible for program support and generating revenue through the recruitment of new clients to the program. He/she will work both collaboratively and independently.

Responsibilities:

• Promote sales by contacting leads and/or prospects and presenting program objectives and services
• Identify prospective small business clients and maintain prospect records. Candidate must be comfortable making phone and in-person cold-calls
• Identify high-level cost-reduction opportunities from energy/water efficiency and waste diversion
• Assist with creating marketing and collateral materials
• Field initial inquiries regarding the programs and answer incoming prospect calls

Qualifications:

• Experience in Business to Business sales and development
• Experience in marketing and communications
• Able to clearly and concisely communicate status of client compliance
• Excellent interpersonal skills and experience in customer service
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Internet research tools
• Highly organized
• Outgoing personality
• Committed environmentalist
• College Degree

Additional Desired Skills:

• Interest in and familiarity with sustainable business practices and "greening" the local economy
• Experience negotiating rates with clients

Compensation: This position will be compensated with commission only pay and is a part-time position.
