Rockwood Energy Search has been serving the Energy Industry since 1986. Its clients include utilities, renewable energy firms, energy merchants and banks. It targets professional positions with salaries from $75,000 per year to $250,000 throughout the US and Canada.
Position Overview:
This position with a successful client is a senior development role that covers all aspects of renewable energy development. This includes securing land rights, interconnection rights, permits and all other rights/permits required to build a solar or wind power station.
Responsibilities:
Among the specific responsibilities are:
- tracking state and local market and policy developments
- identify project sites
- Negotiate all terms
- manage the grid interconnection process
- work with finance team to secure financing
- work closely with engineering team on project design and selection of contractors and general project management
There would 50% travel involved, most on short trips in the region.
Qualifications:
- Candidates must have 5 or more years of wind or solar development experience.
- Have a quantitative undergraduate or graduate degree
- Demonstrate past experience in successfully negotiating variety of agreements
- Must be comfortable in a fast-moving environment.
Compensation: $120-$140K Base plus bonus
