Numark Associates, Inc. is a Washington, DC-based energy and environmental consulting firm that has been in business since 1991. NUMARK has experience in the appraisal, design, implementation and verification of energy efficiency and clean energy projects, including related policy and regulation, the assessment of environmental impact and the evaluation of costs/risks and benefits.
Position Overview:
NUMARK is expanding its focus to participate in programs supported by the US Agency for International Development (USAID), the US Trade Development Agency (USTDA) and domestically, including but not limited to the EPA, DOE, and DOD.
NUMARK is seeking individuals experienced in the fields of clean energy, energy efficiency and sustainable energy. Individuals will be responsible for evaluating and supporting bid proposals and for implementation of their respective expertise on specific projects.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidates will have a minimum of the following professional experience and a proven track record as a subject lead expert or manager of projects and multi-party stakeholder processes.
* Advanced degree in engineering, economics, or energy/environmental policy
* 10 years experience in any of the following areas:
- sustainable energy and environmental policy
- promotion of renewable energy/efficiency policies and regulations
- development of clean energy markets
- demand and supply side restructuring and management for utility/industrial/residential power
- feasibility assessment of clean energy projects
- financial and technical aspects of clean energy technologies (wind, solar, geothermal, biofuels, etc)
- Previous experience with USAID and USTDA funded projects highly desirable
- Experience in developing countries; Southern hemisphere will be an asset
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility and integrity.
