Description

The U.S. Green Building Council seeks an Education Review Specialist who will work closely with the Manager of Continuing Education to support the development, delivery and promotion of green building quality educational offerings to industry professionals.

Position Overview:

The primary areas of concentration will be administrative and logistical support of the education review system, customer service, quality control, marketing, data and website management; complete special projects supporting USGBC's mission of market transformation; and performing special projects as needed.

Responsibilities:

Provides administrative and logistical support of

  • Provider Accounts
    • Serve as point of contact for Education Providers
    • Monitor course quality (QC) and report common trends
    • Coordinate portfolio applications and interview
  • Course Reviews
    • Assign course reviews and manage reviewers (portfolio)
    • Process approved courses (portfolio)
    • Coordinate and invoice "LEED specific" application
  • Review Team
    • Manage reviewer application, training, tracking and documentation
    • Coordinate Continuing Education program for reviewers/auditors
    • Coordinate reviewer approvals through Reviewer QC Working Group
    • Train new reviewers bi-monthly (in conjunction with Mgr or EDS)
    • Train auditors quarterly (in conjunction with Mgr or EDS)
  • Audits
    • Identify courses/providers to be audited
    • Schedule and process audit
  • Outreach and Relationships
    • Coordinate and publish monthly education provider communiqué
    • Coordinate and publish monthly reviewer communiqué
    • Schedule and develop quarterly provider webcast update
    • Schedule and develop quarterly reviewer webcast meeting/update
    • Collaborate with MarComm and Education Provider Network on marketing to and benefits for Providers
    • Manage social media outreac
  • Committees and Working Groups
    • Establish and communicate annual calendar of meetings for committee and working group
  • IT and Business
    • Identify, monitor and communicate IT/business needs to Manager to increase efficiency
    • Identify need for policy creation and communicate to manager

Qualifications:

Education and Training Requirements/Preferences:

  • Bachelor's Degree required with preference for degree in education, marketing or green building related field
  • LEED Green Associate

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years professional office experience

  • Self-motivated, team player
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills (MS Office, data entry, database query and report writing)
  • Comfort working with IT systems
  • Commitment to USGBC Mission
