Position Overview:
We are seeking an aggressive sales professional to sell Photovoltaic Systems, both product sales as well as turnkey solutions. The sales person will target commercial, government, agricultural, and residential prospects. The ideal candidate will be located in Central Ohio, covering the surrounding states.
Responsibilities:
The sales person will have the following responsibilities:
- Create prospect lists as well as receive prospects from marketing and management, pre-qualify prospects, and create appointments.
- Make sales calls on decision makers and key operational personnel, focusing on Educational Institutions, Government, Corporate, Architects, and Roofing Consultants.
- Create and present proposals, high level designs, specifications, financial analysis, and detailed technical information describing the technology, solution, and value proposition.
- Leverage existing roofing sales personnel to identify prospects, present solutions, and close deals driven by immediate roofing requirements.
- Organize and provide technical and financial analysis training to employees, architects, channel partners, and key PV Integrators within region.
- Prepare grant applications, permit packages, and participate in preliminary project planning.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience selling PV (or other technical) solutions in the commercial and governmental markets. Strong cold-calling skills.
- Strong technical and/or financial background, with ability to explain financial benefits in detail.
- Ability to sell at a high level within an organization.
- Ability to interpret grant and incentive programs, and incorporate those requirements into proposals.
- Ability to provide technical support to prospects, dealers, and internal departments, including system design, string sizing, and sales support.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including making presentations and conducting training. Must be proficient with MS Office.
- Bachelor Degree in Business, Finance, or Technical field.
- Ability to travel within a tri-state region on a regular basis.
