Description

The King Conservation District provides a variety of programs and services to landowners and residents. Funding for District programs and services comes from a local special assessment and state grants.

Position Overview:

Located in Renton, WA, the Resource Planner reports to the farm planning Program Manager and provides technical services to farmers and landowners to improve natural resource stewardship and promote conservation actions. Technical services include site specific resource evaluations, developing client-driven conservation plans, office assistance, preparing educational materials, and giving presentations.

The Resource Planner works with farmers and landowners whose motivations for assistance may include general stewardship goals, coordination with farm development permitting, and referrals for land use code violations, and coordination with farm tax programs.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree, 1 yr experience in directed related professional field, proficiency with Microsoft Suite, experience with AutoCAD a plus. Ability to obtain WA State Driver's License within 30 days required.

Compensation: This a a full-time regular position with a salary range of $44,059-$66,088 DOE plus generous leave policy, paid medical and dental for employee, and participation in State Retirement System.
