Position Overview:
HERS or BPI certification preferred. This position is designed to quickly train an entry-level energy rater. Applicants without HERS or BPI certification will need to take RESNET Field Inspector test to get certified after 1 month of employment. Candidate should have strong communication skills, have a track record of taking initiative, and be proficient with Microsoft Office suite. The position involves working from ladders, carrying heavy equipment, and driving.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate in this position will be responsible for collecting field data for energy ratings on new homes. Field data includes rated features on a home such as insulation values and performance testing using Blower Door and Duct Blaster. Candidate will frequently apply air sealing products to help customers meet Energy Star requirements.
Qualifications:
- Certified HERS Rater is preferred
- BPI certification accepted
- NAHB Green Rater accepted
- College Degree
- Strong work ethic and imitative

Compensation: For un-certified persons compensation $35K + health insurance stipend + vehicle allowance. For candidates with HERS Rater or BPI certification starting salary will depend on experience
