SunDurance Energy is a solar energy company that develops, designs, builds and operates megawatt-scale solar power solutions for forward-thinking commercial & industrial, military & government, and utility-scale markets. Position Overview:
The Systems Engineer position is located in Edison, NJ. This position will be working with our Engineering team to design solar PV systems with full adherence to all codes and specifications. Responsibilities include solar energy system design and layout, project cost estimating, performing energy production analysis, evaluating future technologies that will help lower cost of installation, and developing internal intellectual property products and offerings.
The position will require superior cross-functional skills including assisting the Business Development team in developing client proposals and effectively putting together project estimates, and providing technical support to the Operations team. Travel is required including site visits to evaluate new opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Degree in electrical/mechanical engineering with solar PV engineering experience.
- Engineering, design & permitting experience for commercial/utility applications.
- Expertise in panels, inverters and monitoring systems for large-scale PV systems.
- Expertise in mounting system solutions for ground and rooftop applications.
- Analytical and estimating skills
- Strong understanding of National Electrical Code
- Experience with energy modeling of solar PV systems such as PVSYST.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, leadership and people skills a must.
- Self-directed, organized and self-motivated to accomplish goals.
- Ability and desire to learn and progress within your position.
- Able to multi-task and work in a deadline-driven challenging environment.
- Required: Proficiency in AutoCad and MS Office products
