Grain Originator

Green Plains Renewable Energy, Inc. (stock symbol: GPRE), is currently seeking a Grain Originator to work at our grain facility: Green Plains Grain Company LLC.

Position Overview:

The Grain Originator is responsible for aiding with grain origination for 7 elevators of grain facility and 1 ethanol plant servicing NW Iowa and SW Minnesota. 

Responsibilities: 

• Grain origination and marketing skills to "hit the ground running".
• Daily sales calls by phone to customers and potential customers.
• Occasional make cold calls in country (farm customers).
• Building relationships with farmer customers.
• To development new business.

Qualifications:

• Ag related degree or experience in sales or marketing
• Ability to learn grain marketing.
• Basic understanding of grain elevator operations.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office Software and Internet Software
• Ability to follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the position.
• Strong people/communication skills.
• Self-Starter.
