Position Overview:

MCFA is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as an Analysis in our Energy Department. The role supports our client at West Point, NY.

Responsibilities: 

The responsibilities of this role will be dynamic and depending on the individual's background, knowledge and interests may include:

  • Provide direct interface and support to Energy Manager at West Point, NY
  • Tracking of current energy related projects on the installation
  • Working closely Energy Manager to identify, prioritize, track, and analysis energy reduction efforts.
  • Provide coordination and support for existing and future energy projects
  • Provide detailed reports accounting for energy consumption and cost
  • Creation of monthly reporting mechanisms for management review
  • Assist in managing Government contracts
  • Perform site surveys and evaluations
  • Create recommendations for proposed energy projects
  • Coordinate with utilities and maintenance personnel
  • Creation and submission of Energy Conservation Improvement Projects
  • Analyze estimated cost and benefits of energy related projects and present results
  • Tracking and management of Energy Savings Performance Contracts
  • Working closely with Energy Manager to identify cost effective solutions for Energy Projects
  • Gathering and analyzing data in support of Energy Project initiatives
  • Review of Measurement and Verification documents
  • Assistance in developing and executing an Energy Awareness Campaign Plan
  • Creating and delivering energy related briefings
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Understanding of utility rates and tariffs
  • Able to read and understand utility bills
  • Must be able to read blueprints, layouts and other specifications
  • Experience in Facilities Operations and maintenance field
  • Resourcefulness when responding to time sensitive situations
  • Strong computer skill and database experience including but not limited to MS work, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
  • Experience in the energy industry a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in business, business analysis, engineering or related fields a plus
  • Will consider a candidate with an associates or technical degree with strong work related experience
  • Strong analytical skills while making data-driven decisions with 2 to 6 years work experience
  • Experience with Army or Military a plus
  • Demonstrated self-starter with strong ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Very strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong problem solving abilities
  • Ability to organize work and effectively manage time
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Resourcefulness when responding to time sensitive situations
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US
  • Ability to pass a background check and to receive US Government contractor credentials
