Power Climber Wind®, a Division of SafeWorks, LLC is a premier provider of wind turbine access equipment, training services and platform solutions.  With manufacturing facilities in Europe and the United States, Power Climber Wind provides innovative safety and access products and solutions to the Wind Energy industry worldwide.  

Position Overview:

The Regional Sales Manager will manage the entire sales cycle by developing strong customer relationships, partnerships, and profitable transactions on behalf of Power Climber Wind® in North America, and will be responsible for growing revenue by selling the Power Climber Wind portfolio of solutions, services and products.  The sales manager will be responsible for prospecting, pre-qualification, lead generation and closing new business as well as building and maintaining relationships with existing key accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Prospect, negotiate and close national, regional and independent accounts
  • Manage the entire sales cycle across customer accounts, engaging support as needed.
  • Articulate and position the full spectrum of Power Climber Wind products, services, and solutions to key departmental decision makers.
  • Develop relationships beyond procurement/administrative contacts to top-level decision makers across all functions of a given business.
  • Propose and close sales that achieve total revenue growth, profit, and customer satisfaction plans.
  • Aggressively pursue competitive accounts and differentiate Power Climber Wind solutions/services from competitors.
  • Identify, sell and support incremental, value-add solutions and services in existing accounts.
  • Up to 75% travel required.

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree in business and/or technology, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Experience in Wind Energy strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated successful record of managing the lifecycle of complex sales cycles.
  • Demonstrated successful record of closing business-to-business sales for solutions, services and products.
  • Credible knowledge of relevant systems and technologies.
  • Proficiency in using the internet for research.
  • Proficiency using MS Office applications, e.g., PowerPoint, in communications and presentations.  WebEx experience a plus.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This position requires that the employee be able to climb ladders to the top of wind turbines, which can be up to 300 feet high, on an occasional basis but as often as twice in a day.  The employee must not have a fear of heights or confined spaces.  The employee must be able to use and demonstrate the access products as part of their essential job function. This position further requires that an employee be able to stand, walk, and lift up to 100 lbs., reach, stretch, climb, crouch, push or pull large objects, grasp and carry heavy objects, and sit.   Additionally, the position may occasionally require performance of mechanical tasks at elevation (up to 300 feet above the ground).
