Position Overview:

KCBL requires a Senior Terrestrial Biologist/EIA Specialist to support continued expansion of the Company's international environmental consulting services. Knowledge and experience with environmental impact assessments, environmental effects monitoring, ecological monitoring, habitat restoration and Provincial and Federal permitting processes is required. The work will involve a strong commitment to business development and client relations and expanding technical excellence, as well as the opportunity to mentor a talented group of Terrestrial Scientists and Ecologists.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Terrestrial Biology. A post-graduate degree would be an asset, but is not mandatory
  • Registered or eligible to register as a R.P.Bio
  • 20+ years experience in environmental work in at least 2 of the following sectors: mining, oil sands, oil and gas, hydroelectric, transportation, land development, municipal infrastructure
  • Sound working knowledge of Provincial and Federal Environmental Legislation
  • Proven project management skills and the ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals
  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (other languages e.g. Spanish are an asset)
  • Demonstrated report writing skills
  • Good contract administration and project management skills
  • Track record as an effective team player
  • Available to travel within Canada and Internationally as well as to remote areas
  • Able to work flexible hours as project requirements dictate
