Position Overview: 

Bosch Solar Energy is seeking an experienced and professional Technical Project Lead to support our North American sales team. The Technical Project Lead will work closely with the sales team to evaluate commercial, municipal and utility scale solar PV projects. You will actively drive the technical evaluation of projects and make decisions on hardware, layout, design and installation of systems in order to maximize the performance of the system and to deliver the best customer solution. You will have experience designing and engineering solar PV systems from medium to large scale projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify all technical issues to assure successful projects and customer satisfaction
  • PV system design and the ability to create site plans, PV layouts and electrical line diagrams
  • Lead on site evaluations and municipality and utility permit procedures
  • Provide technical information for applications, permits, sales presentations and proposals
  • Coordinate and manage engineering, construction and supplier companies to execute the development of projects
  • Accompany sales staff as necessary to highlight technical differentiation of our solutions
  • Analyze site performance and generate necessary reporting
  • Analyze future demand of system components, metering issues to provide input to product planning

Qualifications:

  • Possess strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Bachelors degree in engineering or related field
  • Strong preference for C10 or C46 license, NABCEP installer certified
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Excel
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in solar PV design or solar PV engineering
  • Excellent understanding of PV modules, inverter technologies, racking systems and trackers
