Position Overview:
An organization that exposes the corrupt exploitation of natural resources and international trade systems is looking for a Senior Policy Advisor. The candidate will be a strong advocate and lobbyist, have at least 7 years experience in DC working through legislation in Congress, with the State Department and other government organizations. A proven track record of results will be required. International experience as well as fluency in a foreign language would be helpful.
This person will be dynamic, passionate and a team player who is willing to jump in and do what is necessary to get the job done in a small office environment where everyone pitches in. A passion for the natural resource sector is preferred, not required.

Responsibilities:
- Pressing for U.S. leadership and policies that promote transparency and good governance in the natural resource sector and ensure that the resource sector is managed in an equitable manner that contributes long-term benefits to resource-rich countries, particularly countries in Africa, including the DRC and Liberia;
- To develop close working relationships with a wide range of constituencies in the U.S., including policymakers, international financial institutions, companies, investors and national and international non-governmental organizations (NGOs);
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field; advanced degree preferred, 8+ years broad-based fundraising experience in a donor-centered environment. Experience working with donor governments and international development fundraising highly preferred. Experience dealing with and establishing successful working relationships with senior level government agency contacts, donors, and business professionals. Solid track record across a broad range of fundraising and marketing initiatives including major donor solicitation, corporate, government, and foundation grant making, planned giving, and in-kind contributions.
Compensation: $75K-$85K
