TEN Arquitectos has been involved in projects of differents types and scales including: furniture design, single-family apartments and houses, residential, commercial and cultural buildings, parks, urban design and redevelopment projects. The work of TEN Arquitectos is known for its contemporary architectural language that unites the aspirations of the modern world with the traditions of its native Mexican culture and environment.
TEN Arquitectos NY is seeking an Associate Architect.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the complete execution of all phases of a project (CD, SD, DD, CD and CA)
- Plans, schedules, organize and execute distinct portions of any project (various scales); with periodic interaction with Partner and Associate Partner/s
- Responsible for coordinating and scheduling tasks among all team members
- Responsible for the detailed solution of general design and architectural problems
- Responsible for coordinating work with consultants
- Responsible for the general coordination and documentation of presentation work
- Responsible for overall implementation of office standards, policies and procedures
- Coordinates work with the project team and the supervision of all staff
- Performs material research in preparation of project specifications
- Assists in supervising project document control tasks and maintains quality control of such tasks
Qualifications:
- Completion of 5-6 year architectural degree program or Master's degree in architecture
- Minimum of 9 years of experience in preparation of SD, DD and CD documents
- Demonstrates extensive knowledge and ability in documentation, design, technology and architectural history
- Demonstrates extensive knowledge of architectural practice including site-planning, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical engineering, and construction
- Demonstrates extensive knowledge on programming, planning and functional adjacencies
- Proficient in 2D-3D drawing and modeling software (AutoCAD, Rhino, Max, Revit) as well as composite and visualization software (Adobe CS4 Design Premium, Ecotect and Microsoft based programs)
- Demonstrates extensive knowledge of building materials, details, construction techniques, along with general design philosophy
- Demonstrates extensive knowledge of building codes
- General knowledge of local office standards, policies, and procedures
- Licensed and LEED certified is a plus
