Position Overview: 

The primary function of this position is to write renewable energy grants for iCAST.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to reviewing RFP's, creating and submitting proposals for potential iCAST projects. The iCAST Grant Writer provide coordination and support for prospects and pending projects. Other duties assigned include internal and external customer service initiatives and problem solving.  The incumbent is responsible for overseeing the iCAST initiatives to utilize the triple bottom line impact (be socially responsible, environmentally friendly, and economically viable). 

Qualifications:

• Identify potential grant making groups through various government and nongovernmental information services, as well as the connections of staff, Board and other friends and colleagues of iCAST.
• Review grants opportunities for a fit with iCAST projects and programs and for a match with eligibility, cost-share and other requirements.  Those that are not a fit are discarded while those that are considered a fit have the "Grant Check-List" file filled out. 
• On a weekly basis, review databases based on due dates and other special relationships (partnerships needed to submit the grant).
• Analyze RFP and/or grant procedure guidelines.
• Prepare proposal using the iCAST RFP checklist.
• Once the proposal is submitted follow-up on current status
• Adhere to company metrics for quality and quantity
• Previous experience writing grants
• Certification in Grant Writing or Business Administration Degree
