CEDA's (Community and Economic Development Association of Cook County, Inc.) Weatherization department is the nation's largest Home Energy Conservation Program in the nation.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a qualified and ambitious candidate to coordinate activities for CEDA Weatherization's City of Chicago, Multi-Family Department (2-4's & 5+ Multi's).
Responsibilities:
Include, but are not limited to, meeting with landlords, tenants and contractors to initiate weatherization process of multi-unit buildings; managing building files from intake through final review; performing weatherization assessments, including work with infrared technology, blower door diagnostics and energy auditing software; preparing work orders for distribution to contractors; working with Assessors/Final Inspectors to develop specifications for weatherization work orders; ensuring quality of weatherization work and adherence to state weatherization standards; and recruiting additional contractors for the 5+ multi-unit buildings.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree required. Previous Energy conservation related experience. 5 years of construction experience and/or training. Ability to supervise employees and contractors and perform cost estimating functions for jobs required. Good communication skills and computer skills.
Travel: Within the geographical Cook County area and out of county to attend sessions and related conferences.
