The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) strives to facilitate change through the widespread development and use of innovative technologies to improve the State's energy, economic, and environmental well being.
NYSERDA seeks a Project Manager to join its Energy Program Evaluation Team.
Responsibilities:
The Project Manager's primary responsibilities will be to lead and support the planning and conduct of evaluation activities, assessments, and analyses for NYSERDA's New York Energy Smart and Energy Efficiency Portfolio Standard programs as well as other programs and initiatives.
Qualifications:
Required minimum qualifications an individual must possess include:
- Demonstrated capability to conduct analysis in program evaluation, economics, energy efficiency, demand response, renewable energy generation, or environmental impacts
- Familiarity with statistical analysis and primary data collection methods and standards
- Understanding of databases, database management, and data retrieval
- Understanding of energy policy issues and analysis
- Understanding of markets for energy efficiency program implementation including targeted customers and involved stakeholders
- Understanding of the New York Energy Smart, Energy Efficiency Portfolio Standard, NYSERDA's Con Edison System-Wide, and Con Edison Natural Gas Efficiency Pilot programs
- An ability to assist NYSERDA program staff with issues of program design, implementation, and management, and guide evaluation activities and reporting so that demonstrated progress toward goals can be documented
- Experience working in a team environment both as a team leader and active team member
Minimum educational requirements an individual must possess include:
- A Bachelor's degree in a technical or analytical discipline and at least 3 years of demonstrated project management experience or
- An advanced degree in the above or business administration is preferred and may be substituted for one year of experience
Compensation: Starting from $50,524 commensurate with qualifications and experience. An excellent benefits package with generous paid leave is also offered.
