Climate Lab is a non-profit beginning operation in October, 2008, whose mission is to accelerate solutions to global climate change by organizing information that fosters collaboration and action.

Climate Lab will develop a participatory website - ClimateLab.org - that allows individuals, companies, and policymakers to contribute to and access a comprehensive source of information and funding opportunities related to climate change adaptation and mitigation. Initially, the website will combine an informational wiki with an "idea market" of project proposals and grant opportunities. As the user community grows, the Climate Lab will continue to leverage new internet technologies that empower concerned individuals and organizations to take meaningful action.

Position Overview: 

Climate Lab seeks Interns to join our team of content authors and editors. Ideal candidates will have strong research and writing skills, a passion for finding solutions to global climate change, and feel comfortable having their writing edited and work-shopped in a collaborative environment

Interns may work full- or part-time, but must make a minimum 3-month commitment. This internship is appropriate for undergraduates, graduate students, and individuals looking to start a career working in advocacy around climate change-related issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Research, write, and edit articles about climate change for the ClimateLab.org wiki
  • Work collaboratively with the content creation team to identify and prioritize subjects and content areas for development
  • Support volunteer Climate Lab users

Qualifications: 

  • Excellent writing and research skills
  • Experience working in or studying climate change-related issues
  • Experience working collaboratively in a team-based environment
  • Ability to work independently, under pressure, and on deadline
  • Experience working for non-profits or political campaigns a pl
