Denby Energy began with a simple idea.  Find a way to make a real difference in the world and to make money doing it.  We were drawn into the energy business by an oil company that wanted to drill for oil beneath our property. 

Watching the price of oil sky-rocket over the last 7 years from $25 a barrel to more than $140, we determined there had to be a way for the "average" person to get into the energy business.  After a great deal of study and learning, we found that most businesses we visited were aware that energy costs are growing, but were absolutely unable to direct their efforts on identifying and modifying their energy use.  This is not because they are bad companies or unskilled.  In fact, many are at the top of their field.  Unfortunately, their field is not energy use, so they have no idea what to do. 

Many big companies like Wal-Mart, Intel, Cox Communications and others routinely put on speaking engagements telling others of their wonderful successes in energy efficiency.  But unlike these very large companies, most small businesses don't have the man-power or capital fluidity to take a handful of employees off their sales/support jobs to learn the art of energy efficiency.

The result is an enormous demand by small, medium and large businesses for energy expertise. 

How did we get our expertise?  We did it the hard way.  We looked for books, but none existed.  We looked for employers like us, but we found none.  So we rolled up our shirt sleeves and got busy figuring out how to do it ourselves.  We pulled together thousands of pages of reference materials, viewed hundreds of websites, attended dozens of lectures, seminars and the like.  We spent over a year honing our knowledge of how to do effective energy audits.

Our initial plan was to just form Denby Energy for doing commercial audits locally and to maintain a relatively small operation.  Our plan went really well (see testimonial).  After doing our first two audits, we were questioned by friends, family and almost anyone we spoke with about what it is we are doing, how we learned to do it, and most importantly, how they could learn to do it as well.

After much debate and organizational modifications, we decided to grow our business with two key elements.  First, we wanted to engage sales people to directly sell our services around Arizona - our home state.  This is a very lucrative sales opportunity with virtually unlimited growth.  Second, we were approached by friends, family and others about the idea of opening branch offices of Denby Energy around the United States as Independent Reps that take home 95% of every sale.  After putting together an incredibly detailed auditing training, we launched our nationwide effort.  This position has virtually unlimited growth, even the ability to expand beyond their initial branch location into other territories that are untapped.

Position Overview: 

Denby Energy is currently seeking motivated people to help it expand operations, by making a real difference and lasting environmental changes helping businesses reduce their energy needs. We are currently seeking Sales Representatives. This position is a sales-based position where you would be afforded significant latitude to find and secure business for Denby Energy, LLC.

Goals:

Your goals as an independent Sales Representative will be to find and secure business agreements for Denby Energy LLC to audit facilities to determine the facility's energy use and expense.

Responsibilities:

You will be working as an independent representative, and will set your own hours and goals. Denby Energy LLC will enter into a commission agreement with you upon successful completion of the initial training period. Commissions begin at 20% and go up to 50% of sales. You will be required to locate the business lead, negotiate the contract for auditing services, and collect the fee from the client.

Denby Energy, LLC will educate you on our unique and confidential sales and marketing methods that make our business one of the easiest sales you can make - saving people money. Denby Energy will provide you with the forms and contracts to secure the client's business. Denby Energy LLC will perform the energy audit.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have: Excellent communications skills, a strong desire to make a difference, a strong work ethic, and confidence in themselves and what they can do. We will teach you the rest.

Compensation: Denby Energy offers training, support and mentoring, but this is a 100% commission-based, independent sales position.
