Position Overview:
We have an opening for an Administrative Assistant (AD06) for our Seattle, Washington, office. The administrative assistant will provide a variety of support duties for multiple managers and staff. This position reports to the office manager and works with a team of other administrative assistants.
Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities include support for conference registration, business travel arrangements, event planning, office and equipment maintenance, vendor management, company cell phones, domestic and international shipping, and orienting new employees to administrative services.
Together with other administrative staff, provides a variety of project-related support and other duties as assigned. This may include creating, editing and formatting Word documents or Excel spreadsheets, conducting Internet research, and summarizing data. Also provides back up for light phones and reception.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- Minimum 2 years administrative support experience in a professional office setting, including scheduling, travel coordination, editing, and working with vendors.
- High School diploma; some college preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Self-starter, quick learner. Ability to work independently as well as with a team. Takes initiative and ownership.
- Ability to think critically about the task at hand and make suggestions for improvement.
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
- Adaptability to growing company going through acquisition integration process.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, comfortable addressing large groups.
